Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Lace Guild with a special exhibition in Burton Constable Hall's Great Hall, presented by Wolds Lacemakers.
As part of this golden anniversary year, visitors can view a beautiful display of traditional bobbin lace alongside a variety of other handmade lace styles, showcasing the skill, creativity and heritage of this centuries-old craft.
Throughout the week, members of Wolds Lacemakers will be demonstrating lacemaking techniques, sharing their knowledge, and offering visitors the chance to discover more about this fascinating art form. There will also be opportunities to have a go yourself and experience how enjoyable, absorbing and relaxing lacemaking can be.
Wolds Lacemakers are based in the East Riding and welcome both beginners and experienced lacemakers to their regular meetings.
The exhibition and demonstrations will be available during Hall opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11am–4pm (last admission 3pm). Closed Mondays.
