The Ivan and Elizabeth Hall Lectures present, An Evening with Dr David Starkey CBE, Feuds, Facts and Fakery: Or was there a Tudor Revolution in Government after all?

We are delighted to welcome historian and author Dr David Starkey CBE for the inaugural Ivan and Elisabeth Hall Memorial Lecture, the first in which will become an annual series celebrating the remarkable legacy of Ivan and Elisabeth Hall.

Both Ivan and Elisabeth played a pivotal role in supporting the late John and Gay Chichester-Constable as they worked to revive the fortunes of Burton Constable Hall and its collections.

This lecture series recognises their longstanding commitment, generosity and influence, and serves as a fitting tribute to their contribution over many years.

Dr Starkey’s lecture will explore one of the most enduring debates in Tudor history, drawing on his characteristic insight, scholarship and wit.
