Little Explorers: Wildlife Week
Family Event
Mon 16th February 2026 to Fri 20th February 2026
Standard Admission
Join us this February half term for Little Explorers: Wildlife Week, running Monday 16th to Friday 20th February in the stables and parkland at Burton Constable. This family friendly event is packed with hands on activities, outdoor exploration and fascinating wildlife discoveries for all ages.
Get creative with nature inspired crafts including seed and vegetable planting, cress heads and ice cream cone bird feeders. Visitors can also paint and build a slot together bird box for an additional £3, available on a first come, first served basis and with no tools required.
We are delighted to welcome Beverley Beekeepers, who will be offering an engaging demonstration of beekeeping. Explore a real hive without bees and learn how a hive works, how bees live and the important role they play in our environment. Young explorers can even try on children’s beekeeping suits for a hands on experience.
Do not miss the parkland wildlife trail, a great way to explore the outdoors and discover the species that call Burton Constable home.
The Rural Task Force may also attend with vehicles and equipment, subject to operational availability.
Make a full day of it and refuel at the Stables Kitchen, serving a delicious range of homemade food and drinks, perfect for warming up after a wildlife adventure.
