Landscape to Impress - Heritage Open Days
Family Event
Thu 8th September 2016 to Sun 11th September 2016
Every September some 40,000 volunteers across England organise 5,000 events to celebrate our fantastic history, architecture and culture. It's your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences - all of which are free to explore.
As part of these celebrations, Burton Constable is shining a spotlight on Capability Brown's work here, with talks and tours of the parkland and a new visitor trail around the grounds to highlight key aspects. Emma Stothard, will be responding to Brown's vision through an exhibition of willow and wire parkland sculpture and Brown's old Brewhouse will be open to visitors for an exhibition on country house brewing, together with opportunities to try our new beer brewed especially by Great Newsome Brewery and aptly named 'Incapability Brown Ale'.
