FAQS:

Is Winterlight suitable for children?
Yes. Winterlight is designed as an experience for families, friends and visitors of all ages.

Is Winterlight indoors or a guided tour?
Winterlight is an outdoor, free-flow light trail through the grounds of Burton Constable Hall. It is not a guided tour, so once you enter the trail, you’re free to explore at your own pace and enjoy the displays along the route.

How long is the Winterlight trail?
The Winterlight trail is approximately 2,117 ft (645 metres) long. The time it takes to complete the trail will depend on your walking speed and how long you choose to stop and enjoy the displays along the way.

Is the trail wheelchair and pushchair friendly?
The usual grounds contain mainly gravel paths which can be uneven in places, so I’d give event-specific accessibility information rather than simply saying yes.

Is parking free?
Yes. Free visitor parking is available at Burton Constable, including accessible parking. All visitors must park in the designated visitor car park; there is no parking available outside the Hall.

What should I wear?
Winterlight is an outdoor event in December, so please dress warmly and wear suitable footwear for winter conditions.

Will there be food and drink available?
Yes. Warming food and drink will be available to purchase during the evening.

Do I need to book in advance?
Advance booking is recommended. Tickets are sold for timed entry sessions every 15 minutes.
