The Stables Kitchen is the café at Burton Constable, offering a welcoming space for coffee, lunch and something sweet, whether you’re visiting the Hall or just stopping by. Food is freshly prepared and baked on site using locally sourced ingredients, with a set menu alongside regularly changing specials.

From light lunches to more filling options, the menu includes sandwiches, toasties, soups and jacket potatoes, alongside daily specials and sharing boards. Everything is made on site, with a focus on well-prepared food using locally sourced produce where possible.
Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea is a highlight at the Stables Kitchen, served as a traditional three-tier selection of sandwiches, savouries, cakes and freshly baked scones with tea or coffee.
Available to book in advance, it’s a relaxed way to spend time during your visit.
Buffets & Platters
Sharing platters and buffets are available for groups and special occasions, with the option to order in advance and collect on site.
Cakes to Order
Cakes and bakes are prepared on site, with a changing selection available daily. From classic favourites to seasonal treats, everything is made in the Stables Kitchen.
Cakes can also be made to order, whether for a celebration or to take home.

No, you don’t need to pay admission to visit the Stables Kitchen. You’re welcome to pop in for a coffee or something to eat. Admission is only required if you’d like to explore the wider Stables, Hall and Parkland.
The Stables Kitchen is open daily from 10am – 4pm, extending to 5pm during British Summer Time.
No, there’s no need to book a table, simply pop in and we’ll be happy to welcome you. If you’re joining us for Afternoon Tea, this must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Yes! Well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome in the Stables Kitchen.
