Emma Stothard & Kelly Wainwright - Reading the Landscape: An Artist's View

Stables Event
Sat 15th October 2016 to Sat 15th October 2016

Sculptor Emma Stothard and curator Kelly Wainwright invite you to read the landscape of Capability Brown from an artist's perspective. Kelly will introduce the rare and remarkable archive belonging to Burton Constable that relates to Capability Brown's design of the parkland. Emma has been commissioned to produce a new permanent sculpture for Burton Constable in response to the landscape and here she talks about the way the eighteenth century and Capability Brown has influenced her work and inspired her current exhibition.

Emma will be in residence on 8/9 and 15/16 October leading drop-in workshops for visitors who want to discover hands-on how Emma's sculptures are made.
