Opening Times

Summer 2019

6th April to 3rd November

Hall - open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays except for Bank Holidays, 12pm to 5pm, last admission 4pm. 
Stables, Grounds, Stables Kitchen & Gift Shop – open daily 10am to 5pm.

Admission to the Stables Kitchen & Gift Shop are free, normal admission charges apply to explore the Hall, Stables & Grounds

In addition the Hall will be open on the following Mondays in 2019: 15th April. 22nd & 29th July. 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th August. 28th October.  

Winter 2019

November 4th to December 31st

(closed Christmas Day & Boxing Day)

Stables, Grounds, Stables Kitchen & Gift Shop - open daily, 10am to 4pm.

Hall Closed November 4th to 22nd November

Christmas at Burton Constable Hall 2019

November 23rd to 18th December

Hall - open daily 11am to 4pm, last admission 3pm

Stables, Grounds, Stables Kitchen & Gift Shop - open daily 10am - 4pm until 31st December excluding Christmas Day & Boxing Day.

There is so much to see and do when you visit Burton Constable, however if planning to visit the Hall please allow at least 2 hours.

If youy are simply passing by please note admission to the Stables Kitchen & Gift Shop is free, normal admission charges apply for the Stables & Grounds.

Afternoon tea was created by the Duchess of Bedford in the late 18th century. She invited friends to join her for an afternoon meal of small cakes, bread and butter sandwiches, sweets and, of course, tea. The practice was so popular that it was quickly adopted by other social hostesses 
Over 80 different species of birds have been spotted at Burton Constable, from the smallest British bird, the Goldcrest, to large birds of prey such as Buzzards and Barn Owls

The Burton Constable Whale is featured in Herman Melville's famous novel Moby Dick.
