Easter 2022

After an absence of Easter for two years at Burton Constable, we have been busy planning plenty of activities for the 2022 Easter Holidays. 

We’re looking forward to welcoming you all back to join in the Easter fun. Take a look at what we have coming up and plan your perfect day out with family and friends. 

Events:

Outdoor Easter Trail - 11th -24th April (10am-5pm). Included in admission.

Hop your way around our Grounds and hunt down the hidden Easter egg patches. Solve each clue to find your way and complete the trial to receive a treat!

Easter Trail in the Hall - 11th - 24th April (12pm-5pm last admission 4pm). Included in admission.

Bunny rabbits are hiding with our Easter eggs around the Hall. Can you help us to find them all? A treat awaits, if you can.

Easter Crafts - 15th - 18th April (10am-4pm). Included in admission.

Come along and allow your creativity to flourish with a range of Easter craft activities and colouring-in competitions.

Storytime - 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th (11am or 1:30pm). Included in admission.

Settle down for some quality time with the family and enjoy a story told by one of our wonderful volunteers.

Easter Bonnet Competition - 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th April (Daily at 1pm). Included in admission.

Bring us your best efforts and allow us to weigh-up the most magical and memorable bonnets as we choose our daily winner!

Burtoni’s Cucina Bubble Waffle Cones - Good Friday 15th April (multiple sessions - ticketed). 

Seriously sweet and marvelously messy - a great way to spend part of your day! Get involved in this creative and culinary experience.

Alice in Wonderland Experience - Easter Saturday 16th April (multiple sessions - ticketed).

Enjoy spending time with your favourite characters from Alice in Wonderland as they invite you to play games, sing songs and take selfies!

Have-A-Go-Archery - Easter Sunday (11am-3pm). £2 for 8 arrows. 

Benefit from expert tuition and fire your way through the Easter Holidays with the Burton Constable Company of Bowmen.

Fantastic Faces - Easter Sunday (10am-4pm). Included in admission.

Reinvent yourself and have your face painted. Use your imagination and allow the artists to take inspiration and bring your ideas to life.

Catering

Stables Kitchen & Doggy Dining will be open daily from 10am-5pm for all your refreshment needs and Easter treats. Additional vendors may be on site over Easter Weekend to accommodate footfall. But also feel free to bring a picnic. 

Event Charges

Normal admission charges apply, unless stated otherwise. Please, read the information for each event carefully, before choosing to book. Additional charges apply over Easter Weekend (15th-18th April). 

Choose from Grounds or Hall & Grounds admission tickets. Under 5s go free (11th-14th & 19th-24th April).

Burton Constable Annual Members can use their passes to access activities 'included in admission', for free! *Additional charges may apply over Easter weekend.

Pre-Booked Tickets

It's strongly advised to pre-book tickets for any of our events or activities, to avoid disappointment and to guarantee treats after trial completion.

Afternoon tea was created by the Duchess of Bedford in the late 18th century. She invited friends to join her for an afternoon meal of small cakes, bread and butter sandwiches, sweets and, of course, tea. The practice was so popular that it was quickly adopted by other social hostesses
