Join us for an exclusive 'behind the scenes' tour of the Hall led by one of our expert guides and discover the cellars, attics, rooftops and everything else in between!

The price of £26.75 per person also includes a free flow visit to the Hall, the opportunity to explore the historic Parkland, Grounds & Stables and a delicious Afternoon Tea, freshly prepared and served in the Stables Tea Room (this may be taken before or after the 'behind the scenes' tour) 

The Stables, Grounds & Tea Room are open from 11am and the Hall opens at 12pm with the 'behind the scenes' tour starting at 2pm prompt in the Great Hall.

Places on the tour are limited to 16 people and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Payment must be in advance and tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by the venue. Please notify us of any special dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Afternoon tea was created by the Duchess of Bedford in the late 18th century. She invited friends to join her for an afternoon meal of small cakes, bread and butter sandwiches, sweets and, of course, tea. The practice was so popular that it was quickly adopted by other social hostesses
