With unrivalled access to more than 30 rooms, visitors are offered a unique insight into the patronage of successive generations of the Constable family. The historic collections include fine furniture, paintings and sculpture, prints and drawings, sporting guns and a library of over 5,000 books.
William Constable’s 18th century ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ is the most important scientific collection from the period surviving in any country house and includes scientific instruments, shells, rocks and minerals, together with extraordinary objects and specimens from around the globe
