Volunteering at Burton Constable Hall can add a little extra to your life. Any donation of time gladly welcomed.

Burton Constable, along with other similar organisations, increasingly relies on the time and effort spent by volunteers in helping look after our heritage. Without them, places like Burton Constable Hall would not be able to open their doors to allow visitors to enjoy the house, grounds and its precious collections.
Volunteer House Guides
In 1999 for the first time we recruited volunteer House Guides to work alongside a small group of existing paid House Guides and since then the number of volunteers working in the house has steadily increased. You can gain valuable experience of assisting the many visitors to the house, acting as a Guide, giving out information and ensuring the security of the house and its contents.
This dedicated team of ladies and gentlemen, who return season after season, greatly enhance the 'homely' atmosphere with their enthusiasm, ever increasing knowledge and the love they have of Burton Constable Hall.
Education Volunteers
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in education and history to assist with School Educational Visits to Burton Constable Hall. Topics include Tudors, Victorians and Parkland Experience and fully support the National Curriculum.
Garden and Grounds Volunteers

The ancient park at Burton Constable is presently undergoing restoration supported by defra Countryside Stewardship Scheme and through careful management we are encouraging wildlife in the park by creating new habitats. Opportunities are available to help us develop our new walks through the park and avenue of trees or to help in maintaining our existing borders and wild areas.
